King of Trios 2015 Night II

Easton, PA – 9.5.2015

Championship Rundown
Grand Champion: Hallowicked
Campeones de Parejas: The Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive)
Young Lions Cup Champion: Heidi Lovelace

Commentary is provided by Bryce Remsburg, Leonard F. Chikarason, and Mike Quackenbush.

Ashley Remington says some mornings he gets out of his bed and his hair is all over the place. However, once he steps on his yacht and begins pumping tunes of Michael McDonald, it’s like 17 bottles of the finest conditioner go through his hair and smooths it out. He tells Jaka that when they get in the ring, he will tame him like he was the smoothest tune Jaka has ever heard.

Challenge of the Immortals
Ashley Remington vs. Jaka {TWC}

Remington represents the Battle Hive while Jaka represents the Wrecking Crew. Sidney Bakabella is in Jaka’s corner. Remington throws some finger guns to the crowd, which even Bakabella and Jaka find themselves delighted by. Jaka breaks a lock-up in the corner. He throws his own finger gun resulting in a big smile. Remington takes Jaka to the corner in a waistlock, noting that he breaks on the count of one when he releases. Remington shoulder blocks Jaka down, then offers him a hand to get up. Instead, Jaka kicks Remington in the shoulder. Jaka then bites Remington’s hand and grabs his hair! Jaka leapfrogs over Remington and delivers a dropkick. Remington grabs Jaka’s leg potentially for an ankle lock. Jaka kicks him away. Remington turns a courting hold into a fireman’s carry and modified headlock. Jaka escapes with a couple strikes to the throat. Remington goes over the shoulders and dropkicks Jaka to the floor. Bakabella gets on the apron to stop a dive. Remington grabs him by his shirt, then throws a finger gun. With Remington’s hat on, Jaka re-enters and from behind grabs Remington for a belly-to-belly suplex. Jaka kicks and strikes him down in the corner. He whips Remington across the ring, following with a splash for a one count. Jaka grabs a nerve hold. Remington fights his way out of it. Jaka headbutts him in the stomach and chops him down. A Muta elbow gets Jaka a two count. Remington has a small flurry of offense, only for Jaka to catch him with a superkick to the throat to stop his momentum. Remington fights out of a chinlock and gives Jaka a Judo throw. Remington chops Jaka to the ropes. Jaka rolls through an Irish whip. Remington boots him in the face. He catches Jaka and tosses him overhead with his own belly-to-belly suplex for two. Remington misses a boot. Jaka grabs a claw. He chops Remington in the head and hits the Jumanji Bomb for two. Remington takes a breather on the apron. Jaka dropkicks him to the floor. He misses a baseball slide. Remington swings between the apron and bottom rope into a headscissors. In the ring, Jaka German suplexes Remington. He tries a pin, but Remington pops out and deadlifts Jaka into his own German suplex. Jaka kicks out. Remington lands a running knee strike in the corner and heads up top. Jaka distracts the referee so Bakabella can hit Remington in the knee with the loaded “pay window” envelope! Remington falls to the mat. Jaka comes off the top with a splash for the pin at 12:06. I understand why the finish here was needed given what happens in the main event (you can’t count on everyone having seen Night 1), but it still left a sour taste in my mouth. I think both men deserve better, especially after twelve minutes of good, competitive wrestling. **½

Juan Francisco de Coronado is standing by with the entire Bloc Party. He says they as a collective unit defeated Team ATTACK! in Round 1, thanking Prakash Sabar for hitting the Bronco Buster to help lead them to that win. Coronado says he always knew Sabar could hit the move (despite history showing this not to be true). Now they go into the 2nd Round where they will yield the same result against Team Fight Club: Pro.

King of Trios 2015 Quarter-Final Round Match
Trent Seven {FCP}, Tyler Bate {FCP} & Daniel Moloney {FCP} vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado, The Proletariat Boar of Moldova {BP} & Mr. Azerbaijan {BP}

Prakash Sabar is in the United Nations’ corner. Azerbaijan and Seven grab each other by their mustache’s. Azerbaijan twists Seven’s mustache to throw him to the mat. Seven chops Azerbaijan when Azerbaijan takes down his straps. He puts them back on and tags in Coronado. Coronado grabs Seven by his mustache, so Seven grabs Coronado by his bow tie and whips him over. All of Fight Club: Pro take turns holding up Coronado in a delayed vertical suplex for sixty seconds. Azerbaijan breaks Moloney’s pin attempt. Bate tags in. Coronado cheap shots him and tags in Boar. Sabar distracts Bate, allowing Boar to crack him in the face with a boot. Sabar sneaks in a Bronco Buster as the referee is distracted. Bate is worn down by the United Nations. Referee Larry Peace catches Sabar on his second Bronco Buster attempt. Bate sneaks out a tag to Seven, but the referee didn’t see it, so the Boar side slams Bate and the beatdown continues. Bate impressively suplexes Boar and Azerbaijan at the same time and tags in Seven. He unloads overhand chops on Coronado before stringing a snap suplex and piledriver together. Azerbaijan breaks the cover. Instead of diving, he kicks Seven from the apron. Moloney kicks Azerbaijan to the floor. Boar Samoan Drops Moloney. Bate hops off of Boar and Moloney’s back to meet Coronado in the corner. Azerbaijan sends Seven into the ring post. Moloney has Boar up for a powerbomb. Coronado shoves Bate off the top. Coronado ends up on Boar’s shoulders and Moloney powerbombs both Boar and Coronado! Azerbaijan rolls up Moloney and holds his tights, but still only gets a two count. Bate airplane spins Azerbaijan. Moloney then spins him into an Ace Crusher for the pin at 11:55. This was a lot of fun. I really took notice of Coronado’s strikes and plan of attack during the beat down segment on Bate; he’s great. The Boar has also developed into an underrated Hoss and the FCP team flourished once again. ***

Rey de Voladores Qualifier – Elimination Match
Matt Cross vs. Shynron vs. Amasis {OP} vs. 2 Cold Scorpio

Scorpio ends a wristlock exchange with Cross by using the ropes to flip backwards and forearm him in the face. Cross ducks a spin kick, boots Scorpio in the stomach and sends him to the floor. Scorpio comes back in as Cross comes out with a pescado. After Scorpio fakes him out with a dive, Shynron and Amasis tag in. They also engage in a wristlock exchange which evolves into Shynron wristdragging Amasis. The Leaning Tower of Shynron takes Amasis off of his feet. Amasis avoids a senton and comes in from the apron with an armdrag. Shynron flips to the floor to evade an attack, then comes back in with a springboard dropkick. Amasis avoids another leg sweep and back kicks Shynron. Shynron skins the mat up into a Frankensteiner. Amasis lands on his feet. Shynron lands on his feet out of an armdrag, resulting in a stalemate. Scorpio turns a modified abdominal stretch on Shynron into a seatblet pin for two. Shynron is taken down by Total Elimination by Scorpio and Amasis, followed by a double standing moonsault for two. Cross and Shynron give Amasis some shots against the ropes. Amasis takes a double hip toss and double shooting star press for two. Cross cartwheels into an elbow smash to Amasis. Shynron looks to follow but Cross clotheslines him down. Scorpio attacks Cross. Cross is sent to the ropes but comes back with a double elbow strike to Scorpio and Amasis. Shynron dropkicks Cross to the floor. Shynron and Amasis both back handspring, then hit stereo dives onto Scorpio and Cross respectively. Amasis headscissors Shynron on the floor. Cross lands a Sasuke Special onto all three opponents. Shynron avoids a shooting star from Cross in the ring, then hits the Dragon Twist to eliminate Cross in 8:27. Amasis cracks Shynron in the face with a knee strike. Scorpio lands a jumping back elbow to Shynron in the corner. Amasis follows in with a splash, then feeds Shynron to Scorpio’s superkick. Amasis lands a 450 splash on Shynron . Scorpio follows in with a flip legdrop off the top onto Amasis. Scorpio pins Amasis at 9:44. Scorpio powerbombs Shynron and heads back to the top rope. A top rope legdrop only earns a two count. Some positioning leads to Shynron hitting an enzuigiri. Scorpio follows Shynron up to the middle rope. He tries to bring him down with a sunset bomb, but Shynron holds onto the ropes. Scorpio crashes onto the mat and Shynron follows in with the Spirit Bomb to his back for the pin at 11:31. There was a lot of innovative, exciting high flying action in this, fitting of the Rey de Voladores title. Shynron winning was a surprise but not at all a bad choice. Amasis and Scorpio really impressed me as well. These matches are supposed to be fun, acrobatic exhibitions and that was exactly what this was. ***½

Team AAA cut a promo in Spanish.

King of Trios 2015 Quarter-Final Round Match
Fénix {AAA}, Drago {AAA} & Aero Star {AAA} vs. Hallowicked, Frightmare & Silver Ant {C}

Drago controls Silver Ant by his legs in the opening exchange. Silver Ant mows him down with a running shoulder block. He ducks a schoolboy and rolls up Drago for two. Drago toreador armdrags Silver Ant and dropkicks him to the floor. Fénix and Frightmare pick up the pace with a Lucha exchange. Drago double stomps Frightmare’s neck when Frightmare back rolls towards him. Frightmare comes back with a step-up Frankensteiner. Fénix hits his neck, then runs the ropes into a corkscrew armdrag. They sweep each others’ legs then stand off. Frightmare kicks Fénix and tosses him outside instead of accepting his handshake. Star back sentons Hallowicked when he drops down. Star avoids Hallowicked’s offense, throws him down by his stem, then springboards onto the second rope for a double stomp. Star evades Hallowicked, caushing Hallowicked to crash into the ring post. Silver Ant dropkicks Drago, elbow drops him, then elbows him against the ropes. Hallowicked comes back in. Silver Ant accidentally assists him with a dropkick and headscissors to his partner. He also sends Silver Ant out, and Fénix pops Drago out to the floor onto Hallowicked. Fénix comes back in where Silver Ant kicks him in the leg and head before Frightmare drops him with a crucifix driver. The Nightmare Warriors isolate Fénix in their corner, until Hallowicked foolishly throws him to the floor. Drago comes in but is instantly cut off by Hallowicked. He’s tossed into Go 2 Sleepy Hollow from Frightmare. Drago is then tossed out and Star comes in. The Warriors wear down the smallest member of the AAA team with some excellent tandem offense. Star is able to fight off Silver Ant and Hallowicked, tagging in Fénix. Frightmare high crossbody’s onto Fénix for a one count. Silver Ant whips him and Star in opposite corners. Star is saved by Fénix. Drago is then placed up top. Fénix cracks Frightmare with a kick, then assists Drago with a tornado DDT on Hallowicked. Star flies in with a springboard alita, sending Silver Ant to the floor. Star comes off the ring post with a swanton onto Silver Ant and Hallowicked outside the ring. Fénix flapjacks Frightmare. Drago holds him for a running punt from Fénix. Hallowicked and Silver Ant break the count. Fénix wheelbarrows up into a sleeper hold from Silver Ant. Hallowicked yakuza kicks him and Frightmare spears Fénix. Fénix kicks out of the pin attempt. Frightmare and Hallowicked drop him with Headless Horsemen. Silver Ant follows in with a frog splash. Star makes the save. Star and Drago double armdrag Silver Ant and Hallowicked. They send them to the floor. Drago suicide dives onto Hallowicked and Star springs off the second rope into a plancha. Frightmare yakuza kicks Fénix. Fénix responds with a superkick. Frightmare spikes him with a tornado DDT. He goes for a tope con hilo but accidentally lands on Hallowicked. Silver Ant gives Drago a backbreaker into a German suplex for two. Drago dropkicks him into a gamengiri from Fénix. Star lands a splash off the top rope. A springboard 450 from Fénix onto Silver Ant gives AAA the win at 16:02. This went too long and some of the action felt pointless, but they had a fun ending stretch that made up for it. **¾

Race Jaxon {NRG}, Hype Rockwell {NRG}, Scott “Jagged” Parker {3.0} & Shane Matthews {3.0} vs. Arctic Rescue Ant {CXF}, Orbit Adventure Ant {CXF}, Matt Novak & Branden O’Connor

Novak and O’Connor are Flying Francis, whom N_R_G defeated at this year’s National Pro Wrestling Day. This is the first time we’ve seen the Colony: Xtreme Force since “A New Start” and 3.0 since “For Your Eyes Only” when they lost to the Throwbacks. Matthews was going to start off the match with a Red Bull he found on Bryce Remsburg, but Rockwell instead gives him an Electric Monkey drink instead. With his energy he clotheslines all of his opponents. He drops O’Connor on the top rope but takes a kick from Arctic. Rockwell and Arctic each a stalemate out of their exchange. Jagged breaks a lock-up cleanly with Novak in the corner. Novak breaks a lock-up with a double chop to the chest. Jagged back elbows him down, but Novak comes back with an armdrag. Novak sends Jagged outside. Jaxon comes in with a high crossbody. O’Connor attacks him from behind. Matthews comes in for a suplex but Arctic cuts him off. Flying Francis take down Jaxon with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker/twisting facebuster combo. The Rudo quartet use dirty tactics to keep Jaxon isolated. Novak sends Jaxon out with a 540 kick. Matthews comes in, only to fall to a back handspring Ace Crusher from Novak. O’Connor lands a Swanton Bomb right after. Jagged nails O’Connor and Novak with rolling forearms. Arctic cuts off Jagged with an uppercut. Jagged musters up out of Novak’s Camel Clutch, but O’Connor and the Xtreme Force knock N_R_G and Matthews off the apron to prevent a tag. Jagged takes out all four people on the opposing team. Jaxon nails Arctic with a clothesline through the ropes. Rockwell power slams Novak. O’Connor headscissors Rockwell. Matthews German suplexes O’Connor. Matthews drop toe holds O’Connor into elbow drops from all three of his partners. Novak and the Xtreme Force break the pin. Jagged spears Arctic in the corner. He goes for it again, but Arctic cuts him off with a one footed contest. He drives his knees into Jagged’s back. A suplex chains form, seeing N_R_G and 3.0 vertical suplexing all of their opponents. Arctic eats the Sweet Taste of Professionalism from 3.0, the superkick from Jaxon, and the Hyperwheel from Rockwell to get the win at 9:09. The only real note in this match is how awesome Arctic Rescue Ant looked. He had great versatility and crispness in his offense and it made me want to see more of him. N_R_G and 3.0 are a natural fit as partners, and I would enjoy seeing more of them together. **¼

Kevin Condron says he knows how good the Bullet Club is, and that they were the odds on favorite to win the tournament…until Battleborn were announced. Condron remembers the days when he would fetch the Young Bucks coffee and pick them up from the airport, but now he’s evolved into a competitor worthy of wrestling them. Until last night, AJ Styles had never stepped foot in King of Trios, but neither had Condron, and in Condron’s mind, that makes them equals. He tells the Bullet Club to wear their vests, because Battleborn is coming out guns a-blazin’.

King of Trios 2015 Quarter-Final Round Match
AJ Styles {NJ}, Matt Jackson {YB} & Nick Jackson {YB} vs. Kevin Condron {BB}, Lucas Calhoun {BB} & Missile Assault Man {BB}

The Snow Troll is in Battleborn’s corner. Battleborn attack the Bullet Club before the bell. The Bullet Club comes back and hit three consecutive moonsaults onto the Battleborn members on the floor. Condron avoids a double superkick from the Bucks. Matt helps Nick with a dropkick on Missile. Calhoun clotheslines the Bucks. Styles knocks him down. The Bucks double hip toss Calhoun into a double dropkick and Styles gives him a knee drop. Condron stops them from “too sweeting” each other. Condron ends up eating three strikes in the corner and a backbreaker from Styles. Nick springboard sentons onto Condron as Matt and Nick hold onto him. Calhoun and Missile attack and send Styles and Nick out. Matt tries fighting back, but Calhoun holds him up for an uppercut from Missile. Battleborn triple team Matt while Styles and Nick are recovering. Condron stops Missile when he begins to spell out his name as he stomps Matt down in the corner. Matt gets his boot up to avoid an attack from Calhoun. He sends Condron to the apron where Nick superkicks him. Matt spears Calhoun and tags in Styles. He clears house on Missile and Calhoun. Styles is weary to springboard on the rope since he slipped last night, but the hesitation costs him as Calhoun gets in a punch. Styles however rolls Calhoun into the Calf Killer. Missile quickly makes the save. Nick fights off Calhoun and Missile, dropkicking Condron off the apron in the process. Angry, Condron throws a few forearms to him. Matt superkicks Condron in the corner. Nick assists with a Shirnaui and delivers a running knee strike. Missile dropkicks the Bucks to the floor. Missile ducks Styles’ rolling clothesline and strings together two Northern Lights suplexes. The Bucks try to save, but Missile notices, tosses Styles aside and gives the Bucks tandem Northern Lights suplexes. He goes for the Missile Launcher on Nick. Matt stops him with a superkick. A series of offense ends with Styles giving Condron Bloody Sunday. Styles makes a finger gun to signal for the finish. Missile grabs the hand and smashes it into the mat and kicks the “invisible gun” away. He uppercuts Styles and tosses him into the corner with the Missile Launcher. Missile pulls out his own “gun” and Styles begs off. The Bucks give Missile tandem superkicks. They then superkick Condron and Calhoun. Troll gets on the apron and takes three superkicks. Nick kicks Condron from the apron. Nick then hits a double Indietaker on Calhoun and Missile for the pin at 10:45. It really surprises me how well Styles fits into the world of CHIKARA. He plays into the humor and style flawlessly. I was also surprised how well these two particular teams coexisted. Missile really impressed me, serving as a convincing match for the Bullet Club. This was a nice surprise and a definitive success. ***¼

Rey de Voladores Qualifier – Elimination Match
Ophidian {OP} vs. Mascara Purpura vs. Pinkie Sanchez {BDK} vs. Mark Andrews {TNA}

Sanchez lures Ophidian into an enzuigiri. Ophidian double wrist clutch drags and monkey flips Sanchez in response. He comes off the second rope with a Duat Driver for two. After a couple kicks he enzuigiri’s Sanchez and suplexes him into a standing moonsault. Andrews enzuigiri’s Ophidian on the top turnbuckle. He brings Ophidian down onto Sanchez with a super Frankensteiner. Purpura and Andrews land stereo standing shooting star presses on Sanchez and Ophidian respectively for two. Purpura hits a tope suicida onto Ophidian who is on the floor. Andrews is tripped off the top from Sanchez, causing Andrews head to hit the top turnbuckle. Sanchez tries Snake’s Revenge but Andrews blocks and puts him on the top rope. However, that allows Sanchez to hit the move on the top turnbuckle. Sanchez hits the ropes for a follow up. Andrews cuts him off with a Frankensteiner for the pin at 9:00. Andrews clotheslines Purpura to the floor. Purpura pulls him down for a forearm strike. He flips back in and slingshots himself into a dropkick. He comes in with a lionsault for two. Purpura tosses Andrews into a facebuster out of a tombstone position. Ophidian comes off the top with a sunset flip to Purpura. He drives his knees into both Purpura and Andrews’ chests. Ophidian comes off the top with a Meteora to Andrews for two. Purpura kicks Ophidian when Ophidian lifts up Andrews for a brainbuster. Purpura gives Ophidian a somersault neckbreaker. He gets two with a standing moonsault. Purpura splits his attention between Andrews and Ophidian with dropkicks in the corner. Purpura snaps Andrews’ neck on the top rope. Purpura misses a 450 splash but lands on his feet. Ophidian bicycle kicks him and lands an enzuigiri. He pins Purpura with a bridging backslide in 13:40. Andrews fights off a backslide and spikes Ophidian with a huracanrana for two. Ophidian gets the bridging backslide, but it ends up leading to a series of different pin attempts from both competitors. This turns into a strike exchange. Ophidian ducks a clothesline and spikes Andrews with an Egyptian Destroyer. Andrews musters the strength to kick out. Ophidian tries bringing him to the top rope. Andrews takes down Ophidian with a spike reverse Frankensteiner. Andrews polishes him off with a shooting star press in 17:44. This was so dichotomous to the earlier Rey de Voladores match. There was no flow, nor any rhyme or reason behind the action. Stuff happened, there were some pins, and then it was over. It also felt like it just wouldn’t end. This was frustrating, but I am quite happy Andrews ended up victorious. The end with him and Ophidian was far and away the highlight of the entire contest. I could do without seeing Purpura again. *½

Max Smashmaster tells Oleg he better not do anything stupid tonight, as he’s their friend. Flex says he’s their friend…contractually. Blaster doesn’t want to say anything about it. Sidney Bakabella says Oleg owes him because Bakabella took him out of the wild and made him into something. He tells the Dev Corp it’s practically a night off for them, and they can take that to the pay window.

King of Trios 2015 Quarter-Final Round Match
Obariyon {B}, Kodama {B} & Oleg the Usurper {TWC} vs. Max Smashmaster {DC}, Blaster McMassive {DC} & Flex Rumblecrunch {DC}

UltraMantis Black is in the Arcane Horde’s corner and Sidney Bakabella is in the Devastation Corporation’s corner. Surprisingly, Oleg blind tags in to start with Rumblecrunch. Bakabella jumps in the ring and shoves Oleg’s contract, which he owns, in his face. Oleg leaves bringing in Kodama. Rumblecrunch back elbows him multiple times in the corner. Kodama gets his feet up to avoid a charge. He kicks out Rumblecrunch’s legs and gives him a dropkick to the side of the head. Kodama dropkicks Rumblecrunch off the apron and to the floor. Smashmaster shoves Obariyon to the corner and smacks him in the face. Obariyon responds with multiple chops and a slap to the face. Obariyon comes off the top with a dropkick. The Batiri double chop Smashmaster and McMassive. They low bridge the top rope sending them out. They clothesline Rumblecrunch out with them. Oleg poises himself to dive but again Bakabella stops him. The Batiri then land on all three Dev Corp members with suicide dives. However, the Dev Corp hurt Obariyon on the floor and maintain control upon bringing him back in the ring. Oleg gets tagged in after he gives Smashmaster a back cracker and knocks down McMassive with a back elbow, but Bryce Remsburg missed it thanks to a Bakabella distraction, so it does not count. Moments later he tags into Kodama after knocking Smashmaster and McMassive together. Kodama’s clothesline only reel Smashmaster, but a dropkick takes him off of his feet. He drop toe holds Rumblecrunch onto the second rope and Obariyon nails him in the back of the head with a knee strike. Smashmaster eats the Skull Bronzing. McMassive drops Kodama out of a double choke position. Kodama blocks a powerbomb with the Redrum. Rumblecrunch breaks the cover. Kodama clotheslines Rumblecrunch to the floor. He suicide dives into a DDT. Obariyon drops Smashmaster with the Rapture. McMassive breaks the cover. Kodama fights out of the Death Blow. Oleg seems unsure what to do on the floor. Kodama looks to superplex Smashmaster. He sees McMassive and tries a plancha. McMassive catches him and accidentally throws Kodama into Bryce with a Fallaway slam! But then, Smashmaster purposefully crushes Bryce with a Swanton Bomb! The Dev Corp kick both of the Batiri in the groin and stand tall. With the fans chanting his name, Oleg looks to get in the ring. Bakabella shoves his contract in his face and Oleg walks off. The Dev Corp set up for a double Death Blow. Mantis grabs Smashmaster’s leg. Mantis gets dragged into the ring. Bakabella instructs Oleg to get in the ring and hit Mantis’ injured leg with the loaded pay window envelope. Oleg looks poised to do it, but instead throws the envelope down! Bakabella yells to Oleg that he owns him and sticks Mantis’ crutch in Oleg’s chin. Oleg jabs the crutch into Bakabella and begins fighting all three Dev Corp members! He sends all of them to the floor with clotheslines. Bakabella begs for mercy, once again shoving the contract in his face. Oleg rips the contract up and nails Bakabella with Off With His Head, sending Bakabella’s wig flying! The three Dev Corp members have now regrouped. They pummel Oleg and tie him up with electrical tape so that he can’t help. Obariyon falls to the Master Blaster. Referee Larry Peace enters just in time, giving the Dev Corp the win at 18:26. There is no understating just how big of a moment Oleg freeing himself from the shackles of the Wrecking Crew was. You felt like a star was being born in front of your eyes, which is why it was a little disheartening to see him and the Batiri lose. Thankfully, because the moment was well executed and everybody did well in their role, this match was still really good and fun to watch. The Batiri were on fire as they took on the massive Dev Corp essentially on their own. There are fewer people better at playing the role of bullies than the Dev Corp, so their beatdowns and mistreatment of Mantis all felt very genuine and helped you get even more invested in Oleg’s turn. This was one heck of a way to end the night and a moment that will have a rippling effect on CHIKARA for the rest of the season if not longer. ***¾

The Dev Corp attack Mantis after the match, crushing his already injured leg with his crutch. Oleg has freed himself from the electrical tape and gives chase to the Dev Corp. However, the damage has already been done, and this may be the last we see of Bakabella and potentially Mantis in CHIKARA.

  1. I think it would have been great if the Arcane Horde could have won KOT. I understand having Team AAA-BULLET CLUB if you wanted to have the best possible match as the final. But, it would have been a great way for Mantis to end his career, with his misfit team having overcome the odds and Oleg having freed himself from the Wrecking Crew and destroyed Bakabella. Too bad that, with Mantis retired, we’ll never get that blowoff match with Hallowicked from his and Frightmare’s turn at “Tomorrow Never Dies.”
