Princess Kimberlee is not pleased with Los Ice Creams losing on behalf of Crown & Court back in Norfolk, VA and Wolverhampton, England. If they lose tonight, they will be the only team with no points in the Challenge of the Immortals. Los Ice Creams promise a win tonight, which Kimberlee blindly accepts as a promise and chippers up.

Challenge of the Immortals
Princess Kimberlee, El Hijo del Ice Cream {IC} & Ice Cream Jr. {IC} vs. Soldier Ant, Nøkken {BDK} & Pinkie Sanchez {BDK}

Kimberlee and Los Ice Creams represent Crown & Court while Hammermeier’s team represents the BDK. Hijo fails to move Nøkken with his running shoulder blocks. He avoids Nøkken’s boot and runs out of the building in fear. Kimberlee wrenches a side headlock onto Soldier Ant. Soldier Ant breaks free twice, but Kimberlee gets the hold reapplied. Soldier Ant escapes for good with a belly to back suplex. Soldier Ant puts on his own headlock and Kimberlee breaks the same way. She forearms Soldier Ant in the back and chest, but Soldier Ant absorbs the shots and blasts her with an uppercut. Kimberlee blocks a corner attack with a boot and comes off the second rope with a crossbody. Soldier Ant rolls to the floor, allowing Sanchez to jump in and get on a headlock. They fight for a hip toss, ending with Kimberlee tossing Sanchez over the top rope and to the floor. She ducks a chop from Nøkken and throws some kicks and forearms to the chest. She foolishly grabs a waistlock. Soldier Ant interjects and sends her outside. Sanchez disposes of Kimberlee while Los Ice Creams double team Soldier Ant. Soldier Ant dropkicks them simultaneously. Hijo finds himself isolated in the ring while his partners recover. Hijo rolls out after taking a bear hug from Nøkken. Jr. jumps in and eats a boot from Nøkken right away, ostensibly replacing Hijo as the isolated combatant. He rolls to the floor after taking a chinbreaker from Soldier Ant. Kimberlee assaults Soldier Ant until he hits the floor. Nøkken gives Kimberlee a knee lift before driving his elbow into her face twice in the corner. He chokes her with his boot. He wears down her left arm, even busting out Old School. Kimberlee avoids an attack from Sanchez and spin kicks him. Sanchez falls to the floor, so Soldier Ant pitches Kimberlee out and brings Jr. back in for the BDK to continue their earlier beatdown. Hijo eventually comes in but finds himself beaten down as well. Hijo hip tosses out himself out of Sanchez’s abdominal stretch. He evades an attack from Sanchez and Nøkken. Kimberlee relentlessly throws kicks and forearms at Nøkken. Soldier Ant cuts her off with a boot to the stomach. She fights him off, avoiding a headscissors and delivering one of her own. More strikes and kicks on Nøkken. Sanchez locks her in a sleeper hold. After his own offense he knocks her down with a clothesline. Kimberlee counters Sanchez’s suplex with one of her own. Nøkken sets her up for the Rikishi Driver. Kimberlee slides out and successfully German suplexes Nøkken! Soldier Ant breaks the pin. He suplexes her for a two count. They trade chops until Soldier Ant boots Soldier Ant out. She follows with a somersault senton. Los Ice Creams go for El Asesino on Sanchez. Sanchez fights off Jr. and hits the Shiney Hiney on Hijo for the pin at 20:49. This felt very repetitive, with so many people hitting the floor, jumping in and out, and all the same offense being used. The only standout was Kimberlee who was a one woman wrecking crew. I love me some Pinkie Sanchez though, so seeing him get the pin was a feel good moment. Although this was repetitive at times, they kept things moving and the audience was engaged. **¾

Dasher Hatfield {T} vs. Volgar

Hatfield immediately sends Volgar to the floor. A baseball slide and suicide dive follow. In the ring he gets in a series of shots to the chest and stomach. He drop toe holds Volgar into the middle turnbuckle and charges in with another baseball slide for two. Volgar blocks a Stone Cold Stunner and Samoan drops Hatfield. After a series of knee lifts to the stomach he whips Hatfield to the corner, following in with a back elbow and enzuigiri. He cracks Hatfield in the face with a knee strike. Volgar avoids a whip to the corner, hopping to the apron. Hatfield avoids a stunner. He tries a baseball slide, but Volgar catches his legs. He gives Hatfield a boot to the side of the head. In the ring he throws some knees to Hatfield’s chest. Hatfield stops a knee and takes Volgar over with a fisherman’s suplex. After a couple forearms he gives Volgar the Slop Drop for two. Volgar fights off of Hatfield’s shoulders. He looks for a snapmare which Hatfield reverses. Volgar drops Hatfield with an Ace Crusher for two. Hatfield gives Volgar the Stone Cold Stunner and a Jackhammer for the pin in 6:42. This was the most competent Volgar has looked, though Hatfield winning was the right call. **¼

As Volgar recovers, a voice comes over the PA system calling his name. It’s the voice of Kevin Condron. He says the last time a voice came over the PA, Volgar lost his partner of whom the audience does not remember the name of. He encourages Volgar to show his face and “sing a song of fire.”

Challenge of the Immortals
Chuck Taylor {GC} vs. The Proletariat Boar of Moldova {BP}

Chuck Taylor represents the Gentleman’s Club while Boar represents the United Nations. Boar boots Taylor to the corner. After a strike to the chin he whips Taylor across the ring. Taylor avoids an attack and dropkicks Boar to the floor. Boar runs out of the way of a potential dive. Taylor shoulder blocks Boar from the apron. He slingshots in with a sunset flip but the Boar grabs the ropes to resist falling. Taylor sole butt kicks and stomps down Boar in the corner. Boar blocks a butterfly suplex and tosses Taylor out of a belly-to-belly suplex. He chokes Taylor on the ropes and drives his body weight across Taylor’s back. Taylor fights back with forearms, only for Boar to mow him down with a running boot. Taylor comes back with a dropkick off the second rope. This time the butterfly suplex works out. A running basement clothesline earns Taylor a two count. Boar reverses Taylor’s Irish whip, but Taylor reverses that into Sole Food. Boar catches Taylor coming off the ropes with a sidewalk slam for two. As Boar comes in for a corner attack, Taylor kicks him in the side of the head. Boar stops Taylor’s charge with a powerslam. Taylor hits the Brodie Knee and a superkick. Boar drops him into a spinebuster off of his shoulders. Taylor kicks out of the pin attempt. Boar goes for the Gore. Taylor catches him off guard with a schoolboy for the pin at 7:02. Taylor seems to finally be embracing the fans’ reverence! This was fine, nothing noteworthy or memorable. **¼

Ashley Remington is afraid that Missile Assault Ant is the missing piece to the puzzle that would earn Remington a shot at the Grand Championship. He will smoothly take that missing piece tonight.

Missile stops it and lands three Northern Lights suplexes in a row. Remington kicks out. Missile throws some boots. Remington catches Missile’s foot and overhand chops him a few times. Missile uses his legs to roll Remington over. Remington catches him with the Fair Winds. He puts on an ankle lock and Missile submits at 11:05. It seems weird that they would build the German suplex up so much and end with an ankle lock. Other than that, this was a really fun back and forth match. Missile has a lot of promise, but I believe he needs to evolve from his current persona if he wants to see more success. Condron is attempting to get one guy to show his face, why not two? Remington was his usual excellent self. It had been too long since we had seen him, and I look forward to his bout with Hallowicked. ***

Missile Assault Ant stomps on the fruit basket Remington gifts him.

Silver Ant tells Hallowicked and Frightmare that he’s sick of hearing about Nazmaldun. They have a tough trios match against the Snake Pit tonight, so he thinks they should focus their efforts on that. Hallowicked doesn’t seem to agree, so Silver Ant steps aside to warm up for later.

Shynron finds himself trapped in the Nightmare Warriors’ corner until he stops a battering ram dropkick from Frightmare and takes over all three opponents with Frankensteiner’s. Frightmare pops Shynron up so Hallowicked can take him down with a super Rydeen Bomb, giving his team the win at 14:15. This was action packed and so much fun to watch. I love that they touched upon Kingston and Hallowicked’s past, which is a match I hope they revisit now that Hallowicked is the Grand Champion. All six men looked fantastic and worked hard, providing a worthwhile bout into the tournament. ***½

Coronado grabs the United Nations flag and pulls off the bottom part of it. Behind Bryce’s back, he jabs Amasis in the throat with it. He German suplexes Amasis for the pin at 7:54.

But wait! The fans inform Bryce about Coronado’s dishonest win. Bryce finds the part of the flag in Coronado’s boot and re-starts the match as a result. Coronado throws a temper tantrum and goes after one of the fans. His father steps up to him, and Amasis grabs Coronado so the man can mess up Coronado’s hair! Amasis cracks him with a tornado enzuigiri for the pin at 0:44. This was played off very well and the crowd LOVED the re-start. Amasis and Coronado had a solid back and forth match as well, making for a good overall package. **¾

Sidney Bakabella says his team is the Bakabella of the ball when it comes to the Challenge of the Immortals. Tonight they face the Arcane Horde. He doesn’t want to guarantee a victor, but does say they have this match “in the bag.” You can take that to the pay window.

Obariyon kicks Jaka to the floor. He suicide dives onto Jaka while Mantis takes out Smashmaster with a somersault senton off the apron. Oleg calls for Off With His Head on Rumblecrunch. Bakabella beckons Oleg away, jumping to the apron with Oleg’s contract in hand. Oleg grabs Bakabella, potentially to strike. He thinks better of it, but eats a spear from Rumblecrunch for the pin at 12:55. Like the other trios match, everybody was on point and the crowd was into it. Oleg especially has really gained the fans love and people are dying to see him ditch Bakabella and go it alone. When that happens, the response should be awesome. Given the hot crowd, I don’t feel Bakabella’s involvement was egregious enough to drag things down, but you never really want a screwy finish, you know? Still, I thought this was a fine way to end the show. ***¼
