Lovelace breaks the cover. She drives Jr.’s head into the mat with a low Frankensteiner for the pin at 12:15. The heat segment with Saturyne went a little too long, but for the most part everybody got to do their thing and do it well. I wish the Thunderfrog had more time in this bout but given he wasn’t supposed to be in the match I’ll live. **½
Hallowicked vs. Tripp Cassidy
After a couple lock-ups, Cassidy goes for Hallowicked’s mask. Cassidy bails to the floor when he sees how irate that made his opponent. Cassidy ends up taking him down with a modified STO when he re-enters the ring. He goes for the mask again after locking Hallowicked’s arms around his legs. Hallowicked kicks him from the apron and slingshots in with a schoolboy for two. Cassidy slingshots in with a knee strike to Hallowicked’s neck. He again goes for the mask when he gets the chance. Hallowicked ducks a knee and rolls up Cassidy for two. The Rydeen Bomb has the same effect. Cassidy avoids the Go 2 Sleepy Hollow and drops Hallowicked him with a modified Death Valley Driver. Hallowicked kicks out. He misses a cancun tornado splash. Hallowicked strings a step-up enzuigiri and a super snapmare together. Cassidy grabs referee PJ Drummond when Hallowicked goes to the top rope. Hallowicked comes down and gets clocked in the face. Cassidy puts him away with “Don’t Be A Hero” (pulling Hallowicked off the top rope into a kick to the face) for the pin at 8:07. I liked the mask angle they went with, but it was a little annoying that it didn’t really pay off. I enjoy Hallowicked, but his matches are paint by numbers these days which makes for boring matches. I’m glad Cassidy got the win. **¼

Green Ant escapes for a second bringing Russo in. Angelosetti tosses him to the floor and Pittman sends Green Ant face first into the ring post to further continue wearing the Cloverleaf Connoisseur down. While Green Ant is trapped in his opponent’s corner, he avoids a splash from Pittman. Angelosetti accidentally splashes Pittman, causing Pittman to fall head first into his groin. Green Ant hops over Angelosetti to tag in Russo. He throws some kicks before dropping Pittman with a flapjack. He tosses Angelosetti overhead by his neck. Russo puts Pittman in the Calf Slicer. He boots Green Ant and gives Russo a full nelson slam. Green Ant dropkicks Pittman off the top rope and to the floor! He follows with a crossbody. Back in the ring Angelosetti hits the Flea Flicker. He shoulder blocks Russo in the corner. Russo backdrops him to the floor. Pittman rolls him up for two. Russo puts him in the Calf Slicer. Pittman taps out at 15:41. The pre-match promos from Angelosetti and Pittman set the table for the match, as the crowd were against them the whole match. It made for a fun dynamic and really got Russo over in the end. Pittman has some work to do but shows a ton of promise. His character is mint. ***
