Dragon Gate USA: Uprising 2012

Vorhees, NJ – 11.3.2012

Jigsaw & Fire Ant vs. Arik Cannon & Pinkie Sanchez

Three Young Lions Cup champions and two Cibernetico winners are in this match. History! Fire Ant and Cannon exchange arm holds. Fire Ant runs the ropes and armdrags Cannon to the corner. Cannon pitches him to the floor. Jigsaw does the same to Cannon. Sanchez baits him in for a kick to the stomach. He goes after Jigsaw’s legs. Jigsaw manages to stop any damage from being done but does get dropkicked to the corner. Jigsaw hops over Sanchez and knocks him down with a forearm. Jigsaw turns a Gory Stretch into a pin attempt. Fire Ant sentons onto Sanchez twice for a two count. Jigsaw sends Sanchez to the floor. Cannon catches Jigsaw with a twisting neckbreaker. Cannon and Sanchez take turns beating down Jigsaw, which includes Cannon slamming Sanchez onto him. Jigsaw slides to the floor. Sanchez tries to follow but gets caught with a gamengiri from Fire Ant. Fire Ant crossbody’s onto Cannon and tilt-a-whirl DDT’s Sanchez. He dropkicks Cannon to the floor and follows with a slingshot tope. Jigsaw missile dropkicks Sanchez for two. Fire Ant Burns Down the House on Sanchez, leading to Jigsaw giving him a German suplex. Cannon breaks the pin. He stops Fire Ant’s crossbody and gives him a brainbuster for two. He rams Fire Ant crotch first into the top turnbuckle. Jigsaw enzuigiri’s Cannon. Sanchez hops off Cannon’s back and drops Jigsaw with Snakes Revenge. Fire Ant breaks the pin. Sanchez drops him with a modified Burning Snicklefritz for two. He misses a double stomp, but Jigsaw connects with his. Cannon lariats Jigsaw right after for two. Fire Ant kicks him in the head. Jigsaw and Fire Ant kick Sanchez simultaneously. They pull of a move they call the Incredible Peanut Butter Milk Shake (a double stomp assisted Jig N’ Tonic) for the pin at 11:33. I never really thought of Jigsaw and Fire Ant being a very formidable team and I don’t know why. They worked really well together. All four men showed their familiarity with one another while also bringing some new things to the table. I’d approve of Jigsaw and Fire Ant being a consistent team in DGUSA. ***
