The Throwbacks (“Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti (0) & Dasher Hatfield (+1)) vs. DUI (Anthony Stone (+2) & Kellan Thomas (+1))
Angelosetti tags out before getting contact with Thomas. Hatfield controls him by his arms. Thomas armdrags him but Hatfield lands on his feet. He lands a shoulder block and smacks Thomas on the behind. They trade armdrags. Hatfield misses two punches which Thomas call strikes. On the third try, Hatfield suckers Thomas into stomach punch. He underhand chops him to the corner, then runs the bases for a baseball slide dropkick. Angelosetti trips him. He does some bragging, allowing Stone to come in and take control with some kicks. Angelosetti flips him to the floor. Stone sweeps his legs and comes in with a high crossbody for two. Thomas droptoe holds him into Stone’s dropkick. Angelosetti hits one of his own. He ties up Stone and holds him for Hatfield’s baseball slide. Angelosetti does an unbelievable pop-up tackle that sends Stone flying. Stone still is able to kick out. Angelosetti turns him inside out with a clothesline. He picks him up into a powerbomb for two. Stone gets his knees up to block a splash. Thomas tags in and fights off both Throwbacks. He throws Hatfield shoulder first into Angelosetti in the corner, then into his crotch. DUI hit a Doomsday Meteora. They see Angelosetti coming in so they break the pin. This causes him to splash onto Hatfield. Angelosetti is thrown to the floor. Hatfield throws DUI into each other. He hits the Jackhammer onto Stone for two. He gives Stone a neckbreaker out of Angelosetti’s arms. Thomas breaks the pin. Angelosetti is going to use a baseball glove as a weapon. Hatfield tries to stop him but gets shoved down. Angelosetti smacks Thomas with the glove, then delivers a pop-up spinebuster for the pin at 15:04. Angelosetti was on fire in this match. He brutalized Stone and got the crowd to antagonize him. Hatfield and Thomas played their parts well too, but this was for sure the Mark Angelosetti show featuring Anthony Stone. ***

The Throwbacks (“Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti (+1) & Dasher Hatfield (+2)) vs. Washington Bullets (Jon Williams (-1) & Trey Williams (-1))
Hatfield breaks a lock-up with Trey cleanly in the corner. Trey does the same. They trade armdrags until Trey pulls out a hip toss. Some quick pin attempts leads to a Hatfield taking him to the mat in a side headlock. Angelosetti and Jon both blind tag in. Jon rolls Angelosetti into a Camel Clutch. Trey dropkicks him in the side of the head for two. The Bullets get in a little more tandem offense. Angelosetti rakes Trey’s eyes and tags in Hatfield. Hatfield apologizes to Trey and reminds Angelosetti that it is illegal to go to the eyes. Angelosetti gets angry, tags himself in, and unloads some punches. He drops a knee and turns down Hatfield’s offer for a tag. As he’s busy teasing Hatfield, Trey schoolboys Angelosetti for two. Angelosetti pops him up in a tackle. Jon breaks the cover. Hatfield joins up with the Bullets in a show of mutiny. Angelosetti puts Trey in a chinlock. Trey throws his head into the middle turnbuckle. Hatfield tags in and actually gives Angelosetti a few strikes! He locks on an abdominal stretch. He lets go when Angelosetti agrees to tag him in. Hatfield instead feeds him into double dropkicks from the Bullets. Jon gamengiri’s Angelosetti from the apron for two. Trey leapfrogs over Jon to legdrop Angelosetti out of a wheelbarrow position. Hatfield breaks the cover. The Throwbacks hit a chop block/clothesline combo and a tandem neckbreaker. Jon breaks the pin. He bicycle kicks Angelosetti out. Jon knee strikes Angelosetti in the corner. He kicks him in the face as Trey holds him. Jon throws Angelosetti to the floor. He holds the ropes to bring Jon out. He then hits an Ace Crusher on Trey while Hatfield has him in a wheelbarrow position. Instead of finishing the Bo Jackson combo, Hatfield sits down on Trey to get the pin at 11:17. I had never seen the Bullets before but I was impressed with what they brought to the table. I also appreciate that the animosity between the Throwbacks carried over to Beyond. It was a fun watch, a good way to showcase the Throwbacks’ strained relationship and to raise the profile of an unknown team. ***
